Ready for Work - what is it?

Ready for Work is an online learning programme for young people, comprising 12 short, self-study courses on subjects of real importance to all prospective employers. It is aimed at improving the employability of young people.

Currently, or recently, in education?

The learning programme is FREE if you are currently in full-time education, or were until recently and are now seeking your first job. You can access your learning by registering on this website. Once you have successfully completed the programme, you may request a copy of the Ready for Work Handbook, at a cost of £5.00 to cover printing and postage. This is entirely optional; there is no obligation to apply for a Handbook.

Currently employed?

If you are a young person who is already in employment, including apprentices, and would like to enrol on Ready for Work, you should refer to your employer. There is a charge of £50 per employed student, which includes the Ready for Work Handbook for successful completers. Employers may contact us to enrol their young employees; (+44) (0)2476 411288.

EOC-Charter members

Employers who are EOC-Charter members  may enrol young employees at a 50% discount, ie at £25 per student - call us to discuss. (www.employersofchoice.org)
